 Dr. Dornic is one of the area's most trusted and experienced cataract surgeons. He offers the lastest techniques in the treatment of cataracts including no-needle, no-stitch, no-patch surgery. He also performs combined glaucoma and cataract surgery, laser treatment of secondary cataracts, corneal transplants, and treatment for diabetic retinopathy. He is one of the first surgeons in North Carolina to perform cataract surgery with bifocal implants to free many patients from the need for eyeglasses.
Dr. Dornic graduated with outstanding distinction from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine. His ophthalmology residency was completed at Case Western University Hospitals in Cleveland, Ohio and he completed a refractive surgery fellowship at the Sinskey Eye Institute in Santa Monica, California. Dr. Dornic is board certified and is a member of the medical staffs at Rex Medical Center, Wake Med Cary Hospital and Johnston Memorial Hospital. He is a fellow in the American Academy of Ophthalmology and has repeatedly been named as one of America's top Ophthalmologists.
